COME ONE, COME ALL!!

On Sunday June 12, 2011 the members of the Seattle Storytellers Guild will be gathering at The Haller Lake Community Club from 12pm to 3pm for an aftemoon you will not want to miss.

From 12 pm to 1pm we will be enjoying the fruits of our culinary labors as we sit down to a sumptuous potluck brunch and gab with friends new and old. Bring your favorite dish to share.  If the weather cooperates we can have a picnic outside. 

From 1 pm to 2pm we will convene the annual meeting of the Guild. A report on the Guild's finances and membership will be given as well as a recap of the past year's accomplishments and goals for the future. Elections for the board of directors will be held. All members in good standing are eligible and encouraged to run for office, and at the very least, vote! If you'd like to be on the board, contact our President, Avery Hill (averydhill@gmail.com) and let her know your intention. Nominations can also be made from the floor at the meeting. Don't be shy. We need good people behind the scenes to make the magic happen throughout the year. It doesn't happen without you.

From 2pm to 3pm we will have stories-in-song as the duo Northwest Passage performs ballads and sea chanteys. Why hide your talents in the shower? Pipe in and sing along!

It's going to be whole lot of fun. Don't miss it! It's a great way to cap off our year before the summer hiatus.
